Argent Associates, Inc. announced today that it has received its TL 9000 certification for its Edison location.

EDISON, N.J. - - Argent Associates, Inc. announced today that it has received its TL 9000 certification for its Edison location. TL 9000 is a quality management system design, development, production, delivery, installation and maintenance of telecommunication products and services. The TL 9000 Quality System requirements include a minimum set of performance metrics and indicators to measure progress and evaluate results of quality system implementation. Shortly after the company's annual ISO 9000 surveillance visit by SGS Quality Consultants, Argent received its TL9000 Certification. Our management system is approved and certified for meeting the quality standards for both ISO9000 and TL9000.
Established in 1998, Argent received initial ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2004, then in 2005 was recommended for continued certification. "We are pleased with the architecture of our quality management system and how it overlays our daily management processes, providing near real-time quality metrics," said Ray Moya, vice president of technology and chief operations officer. "Receiving TL 9000 certification reflects our deep commitment to our company and our customers."
TL9000 certification is a telecommunications quality standard that includes all the requirements of ISO 9001, with industry-specific requirements for hardware, software and services. The International Standards Organization (ISO) is the world's largest global federation of national standard-making bodies. Its purpose is to assist companies to develop and maintain high-quality business management systems. ISO 9000 has become an international reference for quality requirements in business-to-business dealings.
Argent received initial ISO 9001:2000 certification for materials management and warehousing in March 2004. The company prepared for its first certification audit in 2003 with the assistance of a grant from the New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP), and also has received NJMEP grant assistance in its preparations for TL9000.
